About  Us

Welcome to Gloryland Express, Inc.  As you will see on our other pages, we are involved in a variety of children's evangelism and community assistance programs.

We worked with a number of churches, and conducted bus ministry outreaches in the North Texas area until 1992.  In January, 1992, we sold our home, loaded the truck, and moved our family and ministry 1,100 miles to Elkview, WV.  I joined the staff of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church as Children's Pastor, and as transportation Director for Elk Valley Christian School.  The Lord blessed Debbie with another job soon after we moved.  Mark and Shelley enrolled in Elk Valley Christian School, and as a family we began to develop an outreach to the wonderful people in the Appalachian Mountains.  With a small army of great people, we expanded 2 bus routes to 5 bus routes, reaching hundreds of families and young people.  We started in the Hollers around the Elk River area, and expanded to inner-city Charleston.

In October, 1999, we moved back to Dallas.  Working part time as a bus driver, mechanic, and children's pastor, we began to re-develop our local ministry in North Texas.  After building 3 bus fleets through the years, we felt led to build our own fleet of buses which we have dedicated to serve with local churches, ministries, and community assistance programs.

For eight years, we served part-time and then full-time at Thorntree Baptist Church.  God greatly blessed our time at Thorntree, which included the Gloryland Station Outreach.  As of July 1st, 2007, Thorntree Baptist Church decided to stop funding the bus ministry, children's outreach, and my job as children's pastor.  Since then, we have established Gloryland Chapel in Midlothian, continued the school outreaches, and worked various part-time commercial jobs to pay the bills.  Please check the newsletter for current updates.

Debbie works for Dallas Theological Seminary, and Mark works for DART.  Mark married a wonderful lady from West Virginia in 1999, and they have given us 3 beautiful grandchildren.

In 2003, Debbie had major neck surgery for pinched nerve, and in 2005, I had a benign tumor removed from my thigh bone behind my knee cap.

We have both recovered and are on the street every week helping kids know about Jesus and make good decisions about life.

At the encouragement of some people who have been very close to our ministry throughout the years, we formed Gloryland Express, Inc., in August, 2005.  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.  Donations are tax-deductible.

We invite you to check-out our other web pages, come see some of our programs, and call for ministry possibilities in your church or neighborhood.  As you look over our website, consider helping us keep the buses rolling by giving toward the expenses of helping people.

Yours for Christ,

Wyatt Snider
